- Do not place lithium-ion batteries in direct sunlight or keep them in hot vehicles.
- Keep batteries away from children.
- Avoid using a device in a highly damp or humid environment. Keep the device and battery in a dry place, away from liquids.
- Store lithium-ion batteries away from anything that can catch fire.
- Avoid crushing, bending, or dropping a device and charger.
- Regularly check your devices and batteries for broken or cracked cases.
- Stop using the lithium-ion battery if you notice any of the following problem signs: odor, change in color, too much heat, change in shape, leaking fluids, sparking, smoke or odd noises. If it is safe to do so, move the device outside and away from anything that can catch fire. Call the manufacturer or your fire department’s non-emergency number.
- Remove the batteries from an e-cigarette before placing them in a pocket or purse.
